Blog # 11. Looking for a Lawyer and an Accountant By: Don Dennison





As Hidden Treasure Productions (HTP), Our mission is to create quality professional plays, to take into the world. We have nine on the Board of Directors, and we are looking to add two more to the board. Each position requires you to live in the San Diego area.

First off, we are looking for a lawyer to sit on the board and advise HTP, but have no other responsibilities to the organization. At this point, it will be a volunteer position, but our goal is to have it be a paid position in the future.

The second position we are looking for is a Senior Accountant or Chief Financial Officer, who would assist the President and CEO of Hidden Treasure Productions with all financial statements. This position will also start as a volunteer but will become a paid position.

                                              Our History

In October of 2018, we took a drama team to Uzhgorod, Ukraine. We performed a 2-Act professional-quality a play called PRODIGAL by James Shaver, that overwhelmed us, as well as the people who saw it! It was a very effective drama, which resonated well with the people of Ukraine. We know today that one of the cites we performed in, has developed a drama team like ours. In the city of Uzhgorod, we reached out to university students. The company we worked with, called One Collective, now has a thriving relationship with university students, because of our drama team. That is a great feeling! Since we returned home, we have been reflecting on our trip, and how much it transformed us! On a trip like this, one tends to think about how the country was impacted, without even considering how it changed us!

Since our return, we have created "Hidden Treasure Productions Corporation," a 501(c)(3) corporation. We launched the corporation on January 6, 2020. It is our desire to take these plays internationally. We are going forward to prepare the first play, Shadows of the Mind by Kanaan Hesseling, which will be performed in October of 2020 in Oceanside, CA. After performing it locally, we will take it to either Harpenden, UK, or Uzhgorod, Ukraine in 2021.

The exciting thing that we have discovered is that no one else is doing what we are doing, as far as taking professional-quality 2-Act plays, internationally!  It is an open field for our organization.

When we first made contact with the village, we met the Chief, who is the first female chief of any village in Fiji! Fundraising for Hidden Treasure Productions

                                                         Fundraising Blog   We are Hidden Treasure Productions, a theatre company (501 © (3) corporation), based in Oceanside, California. Our mission is to create quality professional plays to take into the world, to places that would not normally have access to live productions. Because of the virus, the years 2020 and 2021 have looked different to many companies, and theatre groups are included in those! For obvious reasons, we’ve had to stay within the United States during this Covid time. There have been many different guidelines by many different nations. For 2022, we have decided to take our play, Shadows of the Mind to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to perform it. It’s a show town with many theatres, so we booked it at the Theatre of the Republic for May 27 th , 28 th , and 29 th , 2022. Come join us in Bali, Indonesia

  This Outreach team will leave on October 5th, and will return home on October 19th, 2022.  We will be participating in outreaches Monday through Friday, with the weekends off. Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Bali is the organization we will be working with in Bali. They operate several ministries that we can participate in, such as Children's Ministry where we can join in with teaching them English and play games with them. We can also visit a few orphanages, prisons, and  do some beach evangelism At the base, we will also help with KP duties in the kitchen for our meals. The base  also has a huge soccer and surfing ministry that you are welcome to participate in. This trip will be challenging yet life-changing , and you will come away blessed and renewed!
